Some guests express concerns about the interior decor of the bar, wishing it felt homier or more refined. A few have noted it can be quite busy during peak dinner hours, especially on Wednesdays, which might lead to longer wait times. Although the overall experience is positive, a small fraction of visitors feel that seating can get crowded on weekends. Parking can also become tight during events, despite the ample space available. These minor issues do not deter most visitors from returning for another round of good cheer and quality food.
Had a one night stay while visiting friends who live nearby, very friendly welcome and really nice rooms. Nice bar, didn't eat there but food looked nice. Will more than likely stay again when visiting again.
I had a lovely stay at Nelthorpe Arms and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for comfortable and affordable accommodation. The rooms were clean, nicely furnished, and surprisingly spacious for the price. It’s clear that care has been taken to make guests feel at home. What really stood out was the balance between quality and value – it's not easy to find such a well-kept place at such reasonable rates. The peaceful setting and friendly atmosphere added to the overall experience. I’ll definitely be staying again if I’m in the area!
Lovely little pub and restaurant in a very pretty location. The food was great quality and a fantastic menu. Staff were happy and friendly. A large carpark behind the venue also.
Excellent meal we've been twice, friendly staff. Clean tables and chairs, neither sticky. Cutlery and condiments clean. Recommend highly definitely go back
Lovely place. Spending occasional time there whilst away on business. Rooms are very smart & fresh and just have everything you need. Feel very at home in them. Food and beer are excellent. Everything is super value for money. Staff are great. Extremely friendly and welcoming. Village setting is very pleasant with nice walks straight from the pub. Only possible complaint would be that the bar devour is not as homely or as smart as it could be. However it’s fine and I always have a good time there.
Great hidden gem! Went as a party of 5 for a birthday meal. The food was delicious and portions were large. Between us we tried garlic mushrooms, chilli lime prawns, halloumi fries, steak pie, Hunter's chicken, sweet and sour chicken, lamb burger and a few pints. The food was all great, piping hot and very tasty. Service was excellent, very friendly and helped make the evening. Clean and tidy facilities and good parking. Very reasonable prices. Thank you for a lovely evening 👍🏼😁
We stayed for the night on our way home from a visit north of the Humber Bridge. We were made to feel very welcome by the team and enjoyed a couple of pints of real ale in the bar. Our room was excellent with everything we needed. Shower was great, just what we needed before dinner in the cosy restaurant. The food was excellent and the service superb with a balance of humour, timing and attentiveness. Off to bed, an hour of TV and a great night sleep in a very comfortable bed. We would definitely recommend the Nelthorpe Arms and would definitely stay again in the future.
